Penzance August Aquathlon 2011

The 2011 Penzance Aquathlon series have drawn to a close with the final 200m swim and 2 mile run yesterday, and it was the windiest conditions of the lot. The pool definitely felt a degree or two colder last night, and it was a bit like running a seaweed gauntlet on the prom as the waves were splashing over the runners heads (and what happened to the concrete block? – very confusing). Gylly should be proud to have so many competitors taking part again (15 in total) and took away plenty of prizes. The overall series positions were also announced too, and team Gylly had even more success there as well. If you’re thinking about taking up Triathlon, these are the perfect events to get you initiated into the multi-discipline sport.
