The Jubilee Pool Evening Aquathlons are once again going to take place for the fourth year running – These are a great way to become introduced into multi-descipline racing, and also represents two forms of life saving (swim and run).
Swim the Triangle – Run the Prom! Approximately 200 metre solar-heated pool swim and a two-mile run to Newlyn Green/Tolcarne and back along The Promenade, Penzance.
The first one will be on the opening Saturday, 28 May 2011 at 6pm with three further events taking place on Wednesdays, 29 June, 27 July and 31 August 2011 at 7pm. (There will be no event in September as the pool is closing earlier this year) Registration commences one hour before the event starts.
I have attached an entry form and race details (please read). This event is open to anyone 13-years-old or over as at 31 December 2011.
We have kept the entry fee the same again this year but are not allowing any discount for pre-entries as I receive so few of these as most people just turn up on the night.
One main point this year, please return to transition as soon as you have finished and clear all personal items – towels, goggles, clothes, etc – as this area needs to be cleared so that the pool can close and the lifeguards can go home as soon as possible after the last competitor finishes.
Prize presentation will take place in The Yacht Inn approximately 30 minutes after the last competitor has crossed the line. Please join us all in there for a drink afterwards.
