Gyllyngvase is fully committed to the education and progress of Surf Life Saving in Cornwall and the UK. Although we have only been operating for 2 years, we have qualified over 20 Beach Lifeguards, and many now work as volunteer or paid lifeguards. Each year we run a number of courses in association with SLS GB and have 2 Beach Lifeguard Instructors within the club. Although we are based in Falmouth, we use a number of different beaches throughout South West Cornwall, providing surf education and training as well as improving fitness and swimming techniques.

We are focused on providing a source of highly trained and skilled Beach Lifeguards to the RNLI Lifeguard service. As a club, we are looking to work with our close relationship with the RNLI and SLSGB to run a club volunteer service throughout the summer months.
