Hi all, here’s the results from last nights challenge which raised £502 for the Firefighters charity, Cancer Research and Gylly Surf Life Saving Club.
74 swimmers took to the course in the evening sunshine but the choppy conditions added to the challenge with support from Gylly SLSC volunteers and the Fire service on the water. Heading out to the first buoy it was clear that a number of swimmers were very keen to gain the mighty Trident Trophy getting to the first buoy in under 3 Mins!
First swimmer back was last years winner James Edmonds who was followed by Ben May and Kyle Keary the first Female was 13 year old Marissa Nicholls (10th overall) from Gylly SLSC. Then Gracy Dack with 15 year old Natasha Mundell also from Gylly getting a well deserved third.
The event was also supported from businesses throughout Falmouth 20/20 provided the banner with raffle prizes from Just like this, MC sports, Stones Bakery, Fal Fish, Freeriders, Gylly Beach Café, Cavendish café, Falmouth Golf course, Rib Ticklers, Roskillys.
Once again a great evening of swimming for all and looking forward to next years Olympic event!
Hopefully I should be able to forward some photos to you all in the near future
All the best Martyn Addinall. (Race organiser)
